Celebrate Chinese New Year with us! 🐲

I think pretty much everyone is aware of Chinese New Year at this point so I thought it would be fun to share some gift ideas and info about this special holiday.

Chinese New Year, or Lunar New Year, occurs on the first new moon between Jan 21st and Feb 20th. This year it will be on February 10th, 2024.

It's a big deal - 25% of the world's population celebrates and in China the first 7 days of the 16 day tradition are public holidays.

There's a tonne of traditions, activities, and superstitions surrounding it but you're probably most familiar with the exchanging of red envelopes with money inside as gifts - they're mostly given to children from elders or employees from employers as a way to transfer wealth.

I like to be ahead of things but if I'm being honest every now and then I definitely find myself procrastinating. Some holidays have a way of sneaking up on you, and that's especially true for ones that move every year like Easter. Now one advantage to procrastinating is that all the Easter chocolate was on sale when I went shopping (I love saving money!), but it also meant some things were sold out or already removed from the shelves. (Looking at you, dollar store). If you're like me and...
